Rolf Naujokat and Marci Ciu-Naujokat - Personal Biographies

Rolf Naujokat began his yoga studies in North India in 1975 with Japa Kriya, traditional Hatha Yoga and Pranayama. He was certified to teach the Ashtanga yoga system by his Guru, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, in 1996 and practices the fourth series. Beginning in 1990, he studied in Mysore for 3-4 months of every year for 15 years, and still makes regular visits there to be with his Guru.

Marci Ciu-Naujokat has been practicing Yoga since 1990. In 1998, she learned the Ashtanga yoga system from Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and Rolf Naujokat in India. She completed the "Yoga Works Teacher Training" with Maty Ezraty and Lisa Walford in 2000 and apprenticed with Maty Ezraty and Chuck Miller for over 4 years. She has been teaching with her husband, Rolf, since 2004.
