 | | Roberto Palagi - Personal Biography
Roberto Palagi first became interested in yoga during the early 1970s after a few texts piqued his curiosity. In 1993, after occasionally practicing on his own, he assiduously followed Iyengar courses with Dona Holleman in Florence. From 1989 to 1990, after five years of this practice, he completed a two-year teacher training course taught by Holleman. In 1993, Roberto went to the Iyengar Yoga Center in Puna, India, where he further deepened his yogic knowledge.
From 1991 to 1994, Roberto also attended a three-year course at the "Istituto Douchen di Firenze" in Florence, Italy, where he studied anatomy, physiology, psychology, asana, pranayama, and Indian philosophy. He met Lino Miele in May of 1994 while witnessing the first demonstration of Ashtanga yoga organized by Lino in Italy. Roberto was profoundly struck by the fluidity of the vinyasa and Lino's extraordinary personality. From that moment on, Roberto decided to dedicate himself completely to the practice of Ashtanga yoga.

As a result, Roberto began following Lino to all of his workshops throughout Italy and abroad. In 1996, he began an apprenticeship under Lino's attentive and precise guidance, assisting during his workshops and retreats. He is currently teaching in Florence.
In December 2009, Lino honored Roberto with a certificate verifying his more than 12 years of apprenticeship with him.   | |
